Can I edit the URL of my Pitch Site?

Yes, you can change your Pitch Site URL.

You have two options:

  1. You can create a DNS entry like: pitch.mydomain.com and use a CNAME domain pointer to point to your Crushpath Pitch Site URL (contact your domain provider for more information).
  2. We can manually change it for you (see below).

The customizable parts of your URL are the subdomain and the vanity path name, for example: http://subdomain.crushpath.me/vanity-path-name

The subdomain is linked to the company name and the vanity-path-name is based on your name and the name of the Pitch Site.

For example: http://companyname.crushpath.me/yourname/pitch-site-name

What can be changed:

  1. companyname- If you are the only employee at your company. If you are not the only employee, we do not recommend changing this because changing the company name will change the company name for all Crushpath users working at your company.
  2. yourname - Each time you create a new Pitch Site it will use “yourname”. Choose a new name that will be general, yet relevant to all your Pitch Sites.
  3. pitch-site-name - Each time you create a new Pitch Site you can choose the name. If you want to change the name on an existing Pitch Site, you can duplicate the existing Pitch Site and select a new name.

When you change your Pitch Site URL, the old URL will no longer work. This means if you have sent Pitch Sites to any prospects you may want to send them the new Pitch Site.

If you would like us to change your Pitch Site URL, please Contact Us with the following information:

Example: http://companyname.crushpath.me/yourname

The background image I uploaded is blurry or doesn’t look right. How do I fix this?

If your background image is blurry, this usually indicates the image is too small. Try uploading a larger version. The ideal resolution for the background image is 2,560 x 800. Images with different dimensions will be resized.

The responsive nature of the Pitch Site means the dimension of the viewer's browser window is going to affect how much of the image is shown. If you choose a background image that has  writing or a specific focal point this can cause those elements to appear off the page or in an undesired location. Any important elements should be placed in the center of the image.

The best header images are those which contain no writing or logo and simply create a nice background for your Headline to stand out.

Yes. Check out the tips below to help increase your Pitch Site's rankings and appear in search engines.

Pitch Site. You can even sign up for Google Adwords and search to see which search terms are strongest. There is a "sweet spot" for the placement of these words and the number of times they are repeated. Get them into as many of the headlines as possible. Hitting this sweet spot of about 3-5 mentions of the word (in real sentences) will get you the best results.

Linking The more sites that link to your Pitch Site, the better. When a site has a lot of links pointing to it, it gains "authority" in the search engine world. That means it's more likely to rank in the top search results. This is why adding a link to your site from your Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter profiles and email signatures is important.
